Architectural Tour - Rice House
April 16, 5:30pm-7:00pm
1000 Old Locke Lane
Richmond, Virginia 23226
Take this opportunity to tour one of Richmond's most unique pieces of residential architecture designed by acclaimed International Style architect, Richard Neutra. Considered one of America's finest immigrant architects, Neutra, a west coast architect who rarely agreed to commissions on the east coast, was convinced by Walter and Inger Rice to visit after a stay in New York. Only after a week of investigation to study the lifestyle of the couple and the property did he agree to design the house...An elegant and dramatic architectural work overlooking the falls of the James River.
Presented by the AIA Richmond and the Science Museum of Virginia Foundation.
Space is limited and registration is required RSVP by March 30 to info@aiaric.org
Free for AIA members
