YA    IF - Young Architects and Intern Forum

The Richmond Chapter AIA announces a new component to the services offered to its members:

The YAiF is geared towards architects that have been licensed for 10 years or less, as well as interns, and will serve as a means for local professional networking among peers as well as a discussion forum for various topics that interest or affect the young professional.

Additionally, for interns, the YAiF will provide information sessions regarding the IDP, ARE, & NCARB certification process; a current database of mentors in the area; ARE study sessions; ARE seminars; & hardhat tours of local projects under construction.

MENTORS NEEDED:

In an effort to strengthen the knowledge base of our young professionals, the Richmond Chapter YAiF requests that any licensed architect willing to serve as a mentor for the Intern Development Program(IDP) submit your name and contact information to Peter Barden at pbarden@comarchs.com in order to begin a mentor database.  Please also indicate whether you would be willing to take on more than one intern to mentor.
