Green Remodeling and Design in Richmond: A Growing Creative Industry

C3's Breakfast Club presents, Stephanie Ackermann of EcoLogic, Richmond's first full service eco-friendly remodeling and redecorating resource.

Stephanie Ackermann, co-owner of EcoLogic and EcoLogic Contracting will discuss the rehab of their retail store slated for LEED-Gold Certification, their "hybrid business model" and how she and her husband are creating green jobs and green homes for Richmonders.

About Stephanie: Stephanie and her husband Fred Ackermann started their first business venture "GreenSpace Remodeling" in the spring of 2007. Noticing a lack of green finishes (i.e. paint & flooring) available in Richmond, Stephanie decided to open EcoLogic - Richmond's first green remodeling and redecorating retail store.

After nine months of sweat equity, EcoLogic opened its' doors in October, 2008. EcoLogic has received a very warm embrace from the Richmond community.

Stephanie has been featured in several local publications including Skirt, Style, the Richmond Times Dispatch and was also recently interviewed on CBS 6's "Virginia This Morning".
