Masonry As-builts: What gets built isn’t always what you designed – Brian Trimble, Brick Industry Association
This seminar shows what happens when the right details get built wrong, and how bad designs are helped out by the mason in the field. This interactive hands-on seminar will describe some common mistakes that are made due to lack of information or lack of understanding.
· What is the best way to detail a brick sill?
· When expansion/control joints run up alongside a window opening is there anything special that needs to be done?
· Is flashing at a jamb a must-have detail?
Subjects like these will be discussed in the technical presentation and demonstrated with mock ups. Local masons will teach everyone the realities of field construction. Come try your hand at masonry construction and get a real feel for what can and can’t be done.
