In celebration of Virginia Architecture Week, the Virginia Center for Architecture and HKS in cooperation with the Byrd Theater present My Architect: A Son’s Journey. Nominated for an Academy Award, the documentary film about world-famous architect Louis Kahn chronicles the five-year journey of Kahn’s illegitimate son as he attempts to reconcile his father’s artistic legacy with his controversial personal life. Join Nathaniel Kahn as he travels the world visiting his father's buildings and haunts in this film, meeting his father's contemporaries, colleagues, students, wives, and children. Join us for a reception from 6–7 p.m. where the Virginia Center for Architecture Museum Shop will offer books about Louis Kahn.
