University of Richmond, Weinstein Center - Project Tour and Reception

When Newsweek Magazine named the University of Richmond “the hottest school for International Education”, it was one more validation of the school’s earlier decision to provide a facility which would house international programs and provide a cultural crossroads where international education could be celebrated. Glavé and Holmes’ award-winning design for the new LEED-Gold building responds to the University’s goal to honor the context of the traditional collegiate gothic campus while reflecting the global mission of the building. The International Center was realized through the crucial participation of 3 women: donor Carole Weinstein, Dean of International Education Uliana Gabara, and principal architect Lori Garrett, AIA. These women will share the goals and inspiration for the project and its design, followed by a tour of the building.
