Webcast - The Effects of Light on Human Health and Behavior
IESNA is providing an opportunity for a webcast on March 11, 2009 at 7 p.m. for “The Effects of Light on Human Health and Behavior” with Dr. Bud Brainard from Thomas Jefferson Medical College.
The topics discussed will be:
· How light regulates hormones, rhythms, and behavior in humans,
· How this research is leading to the development of new architectural lighting strategies, and
· How light can be used to treat clinical and non-clinical problems
The webcast will run approximately 70 minutes with a 20 minute Q&A session at the end. You may communicate question to the presenter either by email or by phone.
If you or your company wishes to register and participate in this event, then please contact Brent Phillips. The cost for each registration for remote access to the webcast is $295. Please indicate whether you would like to attend the presentation or if you wish to open up your office and host the presentation for other local IES members.
Upon registering you will receive a confirmation email when you register for the event, you will also be sent an instructional email on how to use the system 3-5 business days before the event. The suggested requirements to broadcast the event are: an internet and telephone connection, phone with speaker phone ability (or some other means of broadcasting the presenter’s voice to listeners), and a computer. For large groups a computer with a computer projector so everyone can see the slide presentation.
